National Geographic is currently running the 2008 National Geographic International contest. Anyone can submit their photos and or visit the section that shows all of the winners from the previous years. Many of the photographs demonstrate political, environmental, cultural or moral issues through the use of photography. You can vote for your favorite photo without submitting one yourself by logging on to the website. If you want to submit an image, you have to sign up for the National Geographic website and become an official member.
